Store Policies

When things don't go as expected, we strive to deliver common sense customer service - we make it right when it's our fault; and we want you to know what we can and cannot do upfront. Ordering hundreds and thousands of pounds of cabinet product online is not easy, and we need your assistance to make it a stress-free experience.

Shipping Policy

We offer multiple shipping options based on the type of order, delivery address, and/or customer preference:

  • Residential Delivery - requires a residential address recognized by USPS. Curbside service only per FTC rule. Liftgate service is included. An adult 21 or older must be present at delivery.
  • Commercial Delivery - requires a commercial or non-residential address recognized by USPS. If the address is residential and Commercial Delivery was selected at checkout, additional charges will apply. Liftgate service, if needed, will incur an extra fee.
  • Terminal Pick-up - order must be large enough to ship on pallet(s). Please ensure the pallet is intact before opening the wrapping and transferring cabinets to your vehicle. Lowest cost option for pallet orders.
  • USPS, UPS Ground, and FedEx Ground - for samples or small orders. No delivery appointment or signature needed.

Stock ready-to-assemble cabinet orders usually ship in about 5 business days after an order is placed. However, there may be times when item(s) are out of stock, which will delay fulfillment. We will inform you of any out-of-stock items and provide alternatives. Once orders are in process, changes cannot be made unless due to inventory issues.

Custom cabinet orders usually ship within 6-8 weeks after an order is placed and full payment or down payment is received.

Stock, custom, or special orders must be paid in full before Domain Cabinets will ship your order. If your order is ready to ship and your remaining balance is not paid in full, Domain Cabinets may hold shipment until payment is made. If payment is not received within 5 business days of being contacted by Domain Cabinets, the customer agrees to a $100 per day storage fee. In the event that a customer would like to change the delivery address of their order after the order has shipped, Domain Cabinets reserves the right to pass through extra shipping costs to the customer in order to cover redirect fees from shipping carriers.

Within 24 hours of an order status becoming "Shipped", we will update shipment tracking information (carrier, carrier contact phone number, web link, and tracking Pro number). Customers can log into their account to see this status information.

Domain Cabinets works closely with shipping companies to help ensure deliveries go as planned; however, due to unforeseen occurrences, we cannot guarantee exact arrival dates. Please consider any shipping or transit time as an estimate only. Orders may arrive earlier or later than estimated. We do not recommend scheduling remodeling or other activities dependent on delivery until products are received and inspected. Domain Cabinets is not responsible for project delays or additional costs associated with back orders or shipping delays. If you have specific delivery timing requirements, please contact us before placing the order so we can attempt to meet those needs.

Domain Cabinets reserves the right to pass through extra shipping costs to the customer when an order must be fulfilled from different warehouse locations or when actual shipping cost is significantly higher than the automatically calculated charge.

Payment Policy

For Stock RTA cabinet orders, payment must be completed in full at the time of purchase. Orders will not begin processing until payment has been received and verified. Accepted payment methods for Stock RTA cabinet orders include major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), PayPal, Amazon Pay, ACH transfer, and bank wire transfer. For wire or direct deposit instructions, email [email protected]. We do not accept cash or checks. If an item is out of stock at the time of purchase, Domain Cabinets will notify you of available alternatives or estimated restock times.

For Hybrid RTA and Custom cabinet orders over $10,000, payment must be completed by bank wire transfer. You may choose a 70% initial payment with the remaining 30% due prior to final shipment, or pay 100% upfront. At checkout, select Wire Transfer as your payment method. After your order is submitted, our team will contact you with bank instructions and next steps to complete payment. By placing a Hybrid RTA or Custom order over $10,000, you acknowledge and agree to these wire transfer terms.

If you select the 70/30 split payment option for qualifying Hybrid RTA or Custom orders, the remaining 30% balance must be paid prior to shipment. Orders will not be released until this balance is received. If the remaining balance is not paid within 5 business days of notification, a storage fee of $100 per day will apply. Domain Cabinets also reserves the right to cancel the order and retain deposits already paid to cover costs incurred.

In the event that a product or order quote was provided to the customer, quoted pricing is valid for 30 days. If the customer would like to pay for a quoted amount after the 30-day period, Domain Cabinets reserves the right to revise pricing if needed.

All orders must be paid in full before Domain Cabinets will release products for shipment, and no order is binding until it has been accepted by Domain Cabinets. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including for suspected fraud, errors in pricing, or technical errors on the website. If a payment is returned, charged back, or otherwise reversed, the customer is responsible for a $75 handling fee as well as any collection costs, bank charges, or legal fees incurred. Promotional codes must be correctly applied at checkout, and in the event of an error or misuse, Domain Cabinets reserves the right to adjust the order total and collect any outstanding balances before shipment.

Applicable sales tax will be collected based on the shipping destination and current state tax laws. Customers who claim tax-exempt status must provide a valid resale or exemption certificate to [email protected] before placing their order. Otherwise, tax will be charged at checkout and cannot be refunded after the fact.

Domain Cabinets does not currently accept international orders, including shipments to Canada, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territories. All transactions are processed in U.S. dollars, and customers are responsible for any currency conversion fees, wire transfer fees, or bank charges assessed by their financial institution.

Delivery Policy

If the customer has requested Terminal Pick Up as the shipping method, it is the customer's responsibility to schedule a pickup appointment with the Carrier Freight Terminal. Failure to do so may result in carrier-imposed storage fees, which must be paid by the customer.

For Residential or Commercial Delivery, one attempt will be made to deliver your order. If a delivery appointment is missed, your order will be returned to the warehouse and all return fees will apply. Shipments over 50 lbs arrive via pallet and semi-trailer. All Residential Deliveries are curbside only per FTC rules and include liftgate service. A person 21 years or older must be on site to receive the delivery. The driver is responsible only for lowering the pallet to the curb; moving/unloading beyond the curb is the customer's responsibility.

Upon delivery, the customer is responsible for immediately inspecting the order while the delivery driver or terminal representative is present to verify that all items have no visible shipping damage prior to signing the Bill of Lading.

In case of visible shipping damage, please:

  1. Take photos of the pallet(s) clearly showing the damage.
  2. Note all shipment damage on the Bill of Lading before you sign it (freight carriers will not accept damage claims without this notation).
  3. Email [email protected] within 24 hours of delivery to report the damage.

The Bill of Lading must have the customer's signature and the delivery driver's signature for Residential/Commercial Delivery, or the terminal representative's signature for Destination Terminal Pick Up.

Some freight carriers impose additional fees when deliveries exceed their standard unloading time limits (typically 15 minutes). These charges are determined and billed directly by the carrier.

Domain Cabinets is not responsible for any additional fees, penalties, or surcharges issued by the freight carrier due to extended unload times at the delivery location. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that adequate personnel, equipment, and access are available to accept and unload the shipment within the carrier’s allotted time window. If a delivery delay occurs for reasons outside of Domain Cabinets’ control (including, but not limited to, restricted site access, lack of unloading assistance, or customer unavailability) any resulting carrier-imposed fees will be the responsibility of the customer.

Surcharge Policy

Smaller orders can require the same setup, labor, and material usage as larger orders. Therefore, Hybrid RTA Orders may incur a surcharge of up to $300 per color, and Custom Cabinets may incur a surcharge of up to $500 per color. All orders are covered for shipping damage and manufacturing defects.

Order Cancellation Policy

Once an order is paid and its status shows "Processing", it cannot be canceled. Customers can log into their account to see this status information. All sales of samples and cabinet accessories are final and are not subject to exchange or return.

Warranty Policy

Cabinets sold by Domain Cabinets are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use to the original consumer purchaser for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty is not transferable to subsequent owners. This warranty does not cover damage from misuse, abuse, neglect, improper storage, defects caused by installation or storage or transportation, moisture or heat-related damage, and normal wear and tear.

Return Policy

Stock cabinets that are in resell-able condition can be returned within 30 calendar days of receipt of order. All RTA cabinet accessories are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Please note that Special Order products are non-returnable and non-refundable. All sales for Special Order products are final.

Product lines on Clearance are non-returnable and non-refundable. All sales for products on Clearance are final.

Any unopened cabinet item can be exchanged or returned within 30 calendar days, provided the following:

  • All returned cabinet items must be in original packing, unopened, and in resell-able condition.
  • Customer is responsible for shipping the returned items back to the originating warehouse location.
  • After returned items are received, inspected, and determined by Domain Cabinets (in our sole discretion) to be in resell-able condition, the customer will be entitled to a refund of the original purchase price minus a 20% restocking fee.
  • Original shipping charges will not be refunded.

Any opened cabinet item may be exchanged or returned within 30 calendar days, provided the following:

  • All returned cabinet items must be repacked in original packing and in resell-able condition.
  • Customer is responsible for shipping the returned items back to the originating warehouse location.
  • After returned items are received, inspected, and determined by Domain Cabinets (in our sole discretion) to be in resell-able condition, the customer will be entitled to a refund of the original purchase price minus a 30% restocking fee.
  • Original shipping charges will not be refunded.

Claim Policy

No claim of any kind will be accepted once a cabinet has been either fully or partially assembled. Please allow 7-10 business days for stock cabinet claims to be evaluated, processed, and for any replacement items to ship. Claims for Custom Cabinets may take several weeks to process. Only one claim resolution shipment is allowed per order.

Visible Shipping Damage Claim

As stated in our Delivery Policy, the customer must inspect the order at delivery with the driver or terminal representative present.

  1. Take photos of the pallet(s) clearly showing the damage.
  2. Note all shipment damage on the Bill of Lading before you sign it (carriers will not accept claims without this notation).
  3. Email [email protected] within 24 hours of delivery to report the damage.

The Bill of Lading must include the customer's signature and the delivery driver's signature for Residential/Commercial Delivery, or the terminal representative's signature for Destination Terminal Pick Up.


Order Accuracy Claim

  • Email [email protected] within 30 calendar days from the date the order was received.
  • Use subject line: "Order # (order number) Order Accuracy Claim".
  • Provide a detailed description of missing or incorrect items.
  • If a part is missing, include a photo of the item's packing box and photos of all received parts within the box.
  • Only one Order Accuracy Claim is permitted per order; consolidate multiple issues into one claim.

Manufacturing Defect Claim

Wood and plywood products have natural variations. Colors and finishes shown on screens may differ from actual products; samples are strongly recommended. If you believe a part is not manufactured correctly:

  • Email [email protected] within 30 calendar days from the date the order was received.
  • Use subject line: "Order # (order number) Manufacturing Defect Claim".
  • Provide a detailed description of the suspected defect.
  • Include a photo of the item's packing box and photos clearly showing the defect.
  • Only one Manufacturing Defect Claim is permitted per order; consolidate multiple issues into one claim.

Claim Shipment Checklist

Once Domain Cabinets provides the Claim Shipment Checklist Form, customers have 3 business days to review, acknowledge, sign, and submit it back to [email protected]; otherwise, the claim will be void.


Claim Resolution Shipment

If multiple claim types exist in one order, or claims are reported at different times, only one claim resolution shipment is allowed.

Errors will be corrected when and where discovered, and Domain Cabinets reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, including after an order has been submitted (whether or not the order has been confirmed and/or your credit card charged). If a credit card has already been charged and your order is canceled, Domain Cabinets will issue a credit via your credit card for the full amount. Individual bank policies dictate when this amount is credited to your account.

Images and drawings on our website are posted to illustrate our products and may not reflect the exact configuration and specification of a specific product item. A claim submitted based on an image/drawing alone will not be accepted.
